Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work on classic and vintage cars?
Yes. It's a big part of why people seek Rudy out. He learned on cars with no computers and still works on them.
Why won't most shops work on older cars?
Most technicians today are trained to diagnose with a scan tool, and a classic has nothing to plug into. Carburetors, points and timing take hands-on skill that's getting rare. Rudy has it.
Can you tune a carbureted engine?
Yes. Rudy adjusts carburetors and sets ignition timing so a pre-computer engine starts, idles and runs right.
Do you do paint and body work on classics?
No. Rudy does the mechanical side: engine, carburetor, ignition, brakes, cooling and wiring. For body and paint, we can point you to a shop we trust.
