Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I change my oil?

Many modern cars go 5,000 to 7,500 miles on synthetic oil. Older engines and hard use call for shorter intervals. Rudy will recommend the right interval for your car.

Why get an oil change at a repair shop instead of a quick-lube?

Because a mechanic looks at the car while it's on the lift. Leaks, worn brakes, cracked belts and tired suspension get caught early.

What kind of oil does my car need?

The weight and type listed in your owner's manual. Modern engines are particular about it, and Rudy uses the oil the manufacturer calls for.

Will you try to upsell me during an oil change?

No. If Rudy sees something developing, he'll tell you, and you decide when to fix it.
